We all know I’m a visually-inspired writer. I’m also a Star Trek:TNG fan from back in the day, so after many long hours of drafting FIRESPELL, we took a break this weekend to see Star Trek a la J.J. Abrams.
In a word, fabulous. The humor, the throwbacks, the effects and, most importantly, the acting Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto were, IMO, fabulous.
And both, pre-Star Trek, were inspirations for characters in FIRESPELL. You haven’t had a chance to meet these characters yet, but you will:

These guys have such fantastic, expressive looks. Jason’s bright-eyed curiosity, Zach’s brooding darkness (or intellect, depending on the role). They were great source material for imagining the cast of Lily’s Chicago.
