Gregory F. Moffatt, Ph.D., LPC, is a counselor in private practice, and will speak about the following topic:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>After more than ten years of examining cold cases, I have come to the conclusion<br \/>that much of what is taught in the police academy regarding homicide<br \/>investigation is wrong.  There are two groups of homicides &#8211; typical<br \/>homicides and atypical.  The law enforcement academies teach homicide<br \/>investigation for typical homicides fairly well and many agencies do a<br \/>reasonable job at investigating and prosecuting typical homicides.  Almost<br \/>no one teaches investigation for atypical homicides.  This workshop will<br \/>address both types, how investigation should be done in each case, challenges in<br \/>homicide investigation as it is underway and challenges for cold case<br \/>investigation.  The workshop will also address issues for prosecution. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Has anyone done an online writing workshop before?
