Vampires and shapeshifters abound in this next installment of Neill\u2019s
addictive Chicagoland Vampires series. Emotional tension runs high in this book,
which has feisty newbie vampire Merit sorting out her relationships. Neill
continues to hit the sweet spot with her blend of high-stakes drama, romantic
entanglements and a touch of humor. The foreshadowing of trouble to come is
certain to whet readers\u2019 appetites for more in this entertaining series!<\/p>\n

With vampires outed to humans, the shapeshifters are concerned they
will be next. Gabriel Keene, Apex of the North American Central shifters, has
called for a convocation of the packs to decide what their future holds. Despite
their uneasy history with vampires, Gabriel has requested that Merit and master
vampire Ethan attend as added security. Word is that someone is gunning for
Gabriel, which means Merit is in for a tough assignment. And having Ethan in
such close proximity is proving a bit distracting, as Merit tries to sort out
her feelings for the arrogant \u2014 and all too attractive \u2014 vampire. (NAL, Jul.,
