Much of publishing is done digitally these days, from authors writing on their computers, to copy editors working on electronic files, to folks reading e-books, and more.<\/p>\n

Call me old-fashioned, but I still like to read and especially edit on paper. I still print out manuscripts, copy edits, and page proofs, and then mark typos, scribble notes on the pages, and more. It\u2019s just the process that seems to work best for me.<\/p>\n

For all this editing, you need pens\u2014lots and lots of pens, as you can tell by my stash here. And since I like my desk to be somewhat organized, I store the pens in mugs.<\/p>\n
