{"id":91,"date":"2009-06-09T21:13:00","date_gmt":"2009-06-10T02:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.chloeneill.com\/?p=91"},"modified":"2009-06-09T21:13:00","modified_gmt":"2009-06-10T02:13:00","slug":"sweet-home-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.chloeneill.com\/?p=91","title":{"rendered":"Sweet home Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few weeks after I hit the road for Lincoln for the <a href=\"http:\/\/chloeneill.blogspot.com\/2009\/06\/booksigning-and-two-contests.html\">June 13 booksigning<\/a> (subtle plug, no?), I&#8217;ll be heading with my Boy to . . .\u00a0<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>CHICAGO!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Yes, it&#8217;s research time again. \u00a0That means a short, fun-filled road trip to the Windy City, where we&#8217;ll watch the Cubbies play, explore the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artic.edu\/aic\/\">Art Institute<\/a>, check out the neighborhood of<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ukrainian_Village,_Chicago\"> Ukrainian Village<\/a> (where parts of CV3 take place), and enjoy some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosebudrestaurants.com\/rest3.php\">ridiculously fabulous vodka cream pasta<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swirlzcupcakes.com\/\">cupcakes<\/a>. \u00a0<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;m also hoping to check out some Windy City boutiques. <a href=\"http:\/\/heathersthompson.typepad.com\/gatheringspriggs\/chicago-love\/\">Gathering Springs<\/a>\u00a0blazed a trail during her recent road trip, and I also recently discovered <a href=\"http:\/\/boutiqueville.com\/\">Boutiqueville<\/a>, a guide to Chicago fashion retailers, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.renegadehandmade.com\/index.php?main_page=page&amp;id=1\">Renegade Crafters<\/a>, who have a boutique in Wicker Park (which is, of course, Merit&#8217;s home &#8216;hood).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Do you have any suggestion of places I *must* visit?
