As is probably true of many writers, I love to read. I love books. I have lots of them, and in my last move I organized them all by category. Organization makes me happy, and I love feeling like I have a (tiny) library of my own, ready for perusing or grabbing some particular reference off the shelves. On the other hand, there’s something incredibly satisfying about the rainbow method:

I tend to buy books in series and be very local to particular authors, so I’d never actually organize my books this way. (All the Gaimans need to be together.) Still, it seems to have worked for other folks, who’ve actually made a flickr group to show off their rainbowocity. Not a system that would work for me, but there’s something so incredibly satisfying about it.
