Preorders are hugely important to authors because they’re lumped in together with first week sales. That final number is a publisher’s first and primary indication of book success–which is how they evaluate the author and the series. Those initial sales also drive NYT and USA Today bestseller status.

I wish I could pre-order with Audible, I already have a credit with them reserved for Blood Games. If things go as usual they will be several weeks behind the release of this book. Any idea why there is consistently a delay with your releases with Audible?
