Working on urban fantasy called Half Life, featuring Spartan warriors who have half their souls stolen by a dryad. It’s based on the whole ‘skytalis’ dog-tag mythos: Spartan soldiers made battle bracelets from twigs & broke them in two. One half was infused with the “wine” half of their soul, i.e. “human” half which knows love & compassion etc, and was consigned to a battle priest for safekeeping. The “blood” half (the half which revels in slaughter etc) was tied to their wrists before they went into battle.
Other than that it’s the whole query, query & more query treadmill. Plus the occasional contest entry.

Oohh! Sounds interesting!! Okay, I must admit I need to go to Wikipedia and look up “dryad.” Wikipedia and dictionary.com save me every time. LOL!
