  • i trust you even though i’ve cried my eyes out at the end of hard bitten ๐Ÿ™ i still hope we will have a great surprise and merit will have her’s HEA.

  • But, but, but. ๐Ÿ™ I am sad. Drink Deep can’t come fast enough:) I will just have to re-read the happy parts from the other books until it comes out… ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I was so sad at the end of hard bitten, tears just kept falling…I don’t understand why, but I guess the next books will explain why it had to happen…

  • You staked me in the heart, but as I did with KM Moning I will trust you, and pray that you will make things right. I hold on to two hints that I pick in the last two books that give me hope that things will turn out in Merit’s favour.

  • Ok after scaring people on the beach by screaming NOOOOO!!!! as I reached the end of “Hard Bitten” I raced in the house to check out the next book and found your blog posts. Taking a deep breath I’m going to trust you to know what your doing, but may I just say, while the ending was mean, making us wait untill Novemember for the next book is just pure EVIL!! LOL!! Can’t wait, already have it pre-ordered.

  • Never, in my entire life, have I had such a profound emotional response to a novel as I have experienced with Hard Bitten. And for that, I would like to offer my congratulations Chloe, for you have created a definite masterpiece within the book universe. Though the events in Hard Bitten have left me completely traumatised, most likely emphasised by months of waiting for its release over here in the UK, I must tell you how extremely talented you are and how grateful I am to you for sharing these beautiful characters with us. I will of course, ‘Trust You’, as I always have, and look forward to the arrival of Drink Deep.
    It is, indeed, only a rare and brilliant writer who can evoke such an emotional connection within his or her readers, and I consider you to be one of the few to have established this.

  • Just re-read Hard Bitten, then saw where Drink Deep is coming soon! Great news! Hard Bitten is your best book yet, and that’s saying something! I can’t wait for more! And since DD is essentially done, take a deep breath, relax a few days….then get to work on book six!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I’m right there with all of you. I was totally in tears at the end of Hard Bitten. I’ve never responded that way to a book before. It was a total tear jerker! I’m anxiously awaiting Drink Deep!

  • I am not happy with the end result of this latest novel, โ€œHard Bittenโ€ but I will trust you until the next addition comes out in the hopes that you have some huge plan to fix this. I love you as an author and the ending of this book is killing me. Please make this right!

  • I will trust you but I will admit I was pisssed when I finished Hard Bitten. I was so upset that it ended there that I honestly was not going to even look for another book. I hate being sad and this gave me a serious case of weekend blues. Am glad I stumbled onto this blog and have a little hope. You really can’t release it ANY earlier? I usually reread the last when a new one comes out but I am NOT rereading Hard without a therapy visit or good meds.

  • I have received and read it today in about 2 hours and it’s like – omg, why isn’t it November yet, I need to know what happens next! Although one of the reasons why I love your books is like, I cried when the sad thing happened. And quite often your books are hilarious, except this one was a bit dark. <3

  • I have re-read Hard Bitten and I’d cryed again but no how the first time because I already know the end but I hope really really hope that Merit has her HEA!!! I canยดt imagine with who but I supose that may be with a new character ’cause the olds a don’t see her!!!

  • Six hours after finishing Hard Bitten & I can’t even look at another book. I’m devastated. I’m lost. I’m bereft.

  • Loved it, i was kinda heartbroken at the end, which means you’ve done your job and done it well… I also immidiately seached for the next one. ๐Ÿ™‚ I can’t wait until Drink Deep and given the wonderful job you’ve with the past books, it’s not hard to trust you with the future ones. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • I just spent the last 4 days reading your books. My fiance is feeling totally neglected right now, but I couldn’t stop. I was like chocolate for the brain! I finished Hard Bitten minutes ago. I haven’t had a book make me cry that hard in a long time. You are a master at your craft! I’m finding hard to do, but I will try to trust you with the next one. I’m getting married the end of october, so this will give me something to look forward to after the wedding and honeymoon. Not sure how my fiance will feel about that. : )
