I don’t preorder. I like the joy of walking into the bookstore and taking it off the shelf… and if they are out, i start whining and searching all of the bookstores within the tri-state area until i find it 😀
Chloe, a quick question. If we preorder, do we get it on the release date, or does it get shipped on the release date (then we get it a couple of days later). I don’t normally preorder because I want it on the release date. Funny story — I went to my nearest Barnes & Noble to pick up a copy of Drink Deep on the release date. They didn’t have any out, but asked if I wanted to order one. I said, “No thanks, I’ll check at Books-A-Million because I want it today.” One of the other guys behind the desk said, “Wait right there. I’ll go and find it for you. I don’t want you buying it from Books-A-Million instead of us!” A couple of minutes later, he came out with a copy of it!
It depends on the store. I believe Amazon will ship for arrival on release date if you have Prime (or select a certain shipping time), but I don’t believe it defaults to that.
