Writing the first book in the Varsity Magic series is temporarily on hold . . . because it’s time to edit again. Yay. (Read: sarcasm). I’m back to editing Friday Night Bites in preparation for its October 6, 2009 release. Now, to be fair, I have an amazing editor, and the book will be demonstrably better post-editing than it is now. But that doesn’t mean that editing is my favorite part of the process. As you might imagine, reading the same text over and over and over again (as the editing stages proceed) can become a little monotonous. It is, of course, a necessary part of the editing process. But it’s much less fun than, for example, getting updates because your equally amazing agent is negotiating a deal for a new series. 🙂
