Yesterday (Tuesday, March 9) was four weeks from the publication date for Some Girls Bite (Tuesday, April 7). I’m thrilled, and keep obsessively checking my mailbox, waiting for my contract copies of the book just so I can get a glimpse of the finished product, even though there’s no way they’d be this early. Still, they MIGHT be, and one of these days they WILL be, and that future possibility is enough to keep me checking.

I got the offer from Penguin for SGB in January 2008. That’s sixteen long (!) months from offer to publication. An incredibly exciting, very educating sixteen months. But I’m so glad we’re getting close . . .
