Good morning, all! It’s time for another installement of WIP Thursday, where you drop by and let me know what you’ve been working on. For those of you who’ve previously posted, how are things going? Is the word count increasing? Are the queries out the door? Any interest from pubs/agents??
Chloe’s WIP: (1) 50 more pages of FRIDAY NIGHT BITES to edit, then on to (2) the editorial letter for FIRESPELL. In the meantime, (3) I’m writing the third book in the CHICAGOLAND VAMPIRES series. I’m also (4) working to design the graphic for a banner stand. (I’m totalling stealing the idea from fabulous (and gorgeous!) author Tosca Lee, who I met at last week’s Southeastern Nebraska Library Book Fair.)
Also, I’ve just added a post over at Write What You See about collections (and blogger Brooke Reynolds’ delicious photographs of her own collections). So take a second to check out the photographs, and while you’re commenting about your WIP, let me know what you collect!
One commenter will have his/her WIP featured on tomorrow’s blog. Good writing!
UPDATE: And if you’re a romance writer, check out the deets on a new Harlequin contest.
Still working on same "hope to be a novel someday soon"–which is coming along more nicely as I continue to read more and see how how other authors write–with tag lines, descriptions, etc. Making the thoughts more realistic as well as the dialogue. Freshening up the vocab, things like that.
Also expanding on my hunt for a critique group or partner. My friend offered and I may take her up on it for a starting point. Although I still need to get my writing shaped up a bit more and get it to a more conclusive conclusion!
