Rachel & Trent – The Fangirl Faux Wedding Invite

As I discussed yesterday, I’m a HUGE Kim Harrison/Hollows fan. She writes some of the best urban fantasy out there.

As for the books themselves, I have always hoped in my heart of hearts that Rachel and Trent would end up together. But I haven’t yet read A PERFECT BLOOD, so no comment spoilers!

However . . . Ahem . . . I did find the faux wedding invitation that I created, as a PDF, in August 2006 (!!) for Rachel and Trent.  Check out this little lovely.

You. Guys. I picked out a font. And colors. And a border! What?!

Ah, the joys of geeky fangirlishness. 🙂

If I remember the timeline correctly, I created the invite either right before I started writing SOME GIRLS BITE, or perhaps right before I started editing it. I can’t recall exactly. In any event, I did it, and what’s done is done. Might as well share the geeklove with y’all. 😉

  • I love the thought of Rachel and Trent….I’m root root rooting for them. I love this!

  • I love this series too, but I am a bit behind in my reading as I am still coming to terms with the deaths of a certain blond vampire… Why does this keeping happening? I think I would encourage them to dye their hair. On the other hand, both Spike and Ethan came back from the dead. I think Harris’ Eric might be doomed.

    Last one I read was Outlaw Demon Wails. I am fine with Trent and Rachel as a couple. Really, just anyone other than Nick.

    • Jessica: I was heartbroken forever about Kisten; he was THE best! :'( As the stories go on, Rachel’s heart heals and mine did too. Don’t know for sure what’s in store romantically in her future but you gotta keep reading. It will get better, promise 🙂

    • I have to admit: I just didn’t *get* Kisten. Rachel clearly mourned, but I didn’t get the sense their relationship had much depth while it was happening.

  • Love it !! Even if I didn’t read th Hollows series for now… But It’s great to see that some author have fangirl moment just like us =)

  • I had so much fangirl moments in my life I stopped counting 😉 But most of them while reading the CV series, of course 🙂

  • I love Rachel and Trent! A tiny little part of me wants to see Rachel and Al, but it’s mostly Trent in my heart lol.

    I am also a huge fan of the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, and it was after I read the first book that I decided to learn how to work on cars. I also named my dog Adam 😀

  • I cut my hair the same way as Merit with the same color and everything! I also wear the double tank top look too! (i have always done that) Cant wait for BITING COLD!!

  • I am SUCH a HUGE Kim Harrison fan!!! I have read, re-read, listened and re-listened to all the books. I made Mom read and listen to them, made Hubby read them and am working on my new-to-motherhood daughter reading them. I save all the plastic swords from sandwiches, etc for Jenks. I want Jenks and Belle together; he’s too sad 🙁 ! It wasn’t until the middle of Pale Demon that I decided that yep, Trent and Rach belong together. Here’s hoping! I do have a question about the invite: Should Takata’s name be on it too?

    Now for your stories. I happened across the series on Audible and downloaded it. I was completely hooked about 15 minutes into the story. I love, love, love Merit. Her snarky humor is exactly like mine. I finished Hard Bitten this morning on my commute and am chomping at the bit head home and start Drink Deep! Thank you Chloe for hours of fine entertainment and the introduction to new people who are now part of the family!

  • That’s cute 🙂 Fan girl moments are awesome! i do silly things like that all the time. It’s weird though, when I was 16 and it was the Backstreet Boys, I was proud of it. Now at 28 and a fan girl of UF books like yours and the Hollows . . . I still have the fan girl moments though. Just usually accompanied by a flushed look!

    You know, if Rachel and Trent got married, I don’t think it would be in a cathedral. It would be outside, under a full moon, probably Trent’s compound. LOL or Rachel’s graveyard ::snort::

  • All my Sims couples are my fave characters. Merit and Ethan, Rachel and Trent, Mira and Danus, Evy and Wyatt, Cat and Bones.. get the jist? There I just confesseed my geek fan side
