November cannot come soon enough.
(jerk) π
<3 you!!
Not sure I like you right now… π November is a long time to wait.
OMG BEST COMMENT EVAH. I snorted outloud.
So did I when I read that I should read the book once more NO WAY! NO WAY, first there books I have read twice but this one… It’s not worth the emotional trauma, I cried so hard that I have no wish repeating it anytime soon…
Canβt wait November hope everything will work out just fine, and readers -myself included-won’t have to go through another trauma π
I still love your books, I really do, but right now it’s hard to be a fan π
xoxo
I am relieved that you acknowledge the anguish pervading your readers (and possibly their loved ones) at this moment. I just ranted at my boyfriend, roommates, and even my male friends. I, too, look forward to November, but right now I need to read a different new vampire book to lift up my spirits.
However, A+ on your efforts to put me through an emotional roller coaster! π
P.S. I was all ready to rant in the forums, but your offering of hugs totally derailed the impulse.
I SO hear you! I was SO angry at the ending. Chloe, you have such a way with making us love (or hate) the characters. I am SO drawn into the story. I literally cried when I read about Ethan. I’d spent 4 books falling in love with these characters and now I am truly in mourning. If you hadn’t written what you did, I’m not sure I would have been able to continue with the series. I have all the books on Audible as well as in paper/electronic form. Now I look forward to November. I sure hope there is some good things happening that make up for this agony. We need some happiness for Merit – she deserves it!
As a fan of well-told stories, I say thank you for your craft and for giving us the world and the characters of Chicagoland Vampires. As a fan of the series, I say thank you again, for the achievements and loose ends tied up and answers to questions that have been teasing/plaguing/poking at me since the beginning. As someone who loves certain characters just as much as I loved Buffy and Spike…
*crickets chirp*
Yeah…no thanks there. I mean, seriously? Do you KNOW how far away November is?? Did you study at the Marquis de Sade School of Personal Torture or something?
My guess is there will be a lot of intense emotion stirred up as readers get through Hard Bitten (I’m submitting that statement for the Understatement of the Year Award, too). I’m torn between commending you on affecting your readers (me included) to such a degree (we wouldn’t care if we didn’t care) and beating something up.
Trust you, huh?
Well…we’ll definitely see.
IN NOVEMBER!! ARGH!!!
Kudos, though, on a…memorable installment.

One Good Book Deserves Another
I am thinking Drink Deep’s release needs to be moved up…say to tomorrow? ARGH! I am sooo not a patient reader…I’ve been waiting for this since the last one π
I’m still having a hard time processing what just happened, but in good faith I will take your words of wisdom and “trust you”. Please oh please do not let us down!
even after I was frusterated two weeks ago I was like don’t think about. don’t think about. b/c every time I did I was really emotional.and to TRUST CHLOE NEILL! And of course I will.XD
To work out stresses, I recommend kickboxing. And hugging Schnauzers, if you have that option.
That’s just not right. Genius, but oh so not cool.
I may have yelled at you. In a coffee shop. Loudly. There might be 20 or so random folks who now think you are an evil, anxiety inducing, fiend. Sorry about that.
OMG…I’m never gonna make it to November, that is too far away! I need more than a big hug, that ending was a killer but I am going to trust you. Hopefully the shock wears off sooner than later, thanks for another great book!
CN- Trust you!!!??? My heart is screaming right now….”NO ,NO, NO!!!!” November can’t come soon enough! You’re killing me!
Ok , Im going to trust you cause you havent let me down so far, but this is rough real rough , November cant come soon enough
I am so frustrated not to have Hard Bitten right now (I will receive it in France in a few days).
When I am reading the previous comments, I am more impatient (and I didn’t think it was possible).
Thank you for the magical moments I spend reading your books.
Do you think you could manage the next “tour” in Bordeaux (France)? I would bring you in some “castles” to taste some red wine. π
Very well….I will trust you despite the trauma I am muddling through. My bewildered husband is going back to sleep after being awakened by my ranting and hand-wringing.I (and my husband, bless his sleepy heart) will trust you. Great work. I wouldn’t be so traumatized otherwise. Maria
Do we all need to turn to some chocolate ? Im going to be 300 lbs by November dammit !
I know seriously. Chocolate is the only cure for something like this. I got lucky. If my bf sees irritated upset girlfriend in the morning Its Oreos and kisses for me. =)
First let me say, I LOVED the book. But was so disturbed by what happened that I am still thinking about it 3 days later, which I am sure is a good thing. But the very end gave me hope and now so have you. Thanks
I have two schnauzers and that is not working.
Seriously? I am heartbroken. Just so let down…. I want to this to be fixed now!!
WOW I had to reread the ending to make sure I wasn’t missing something.
Have a Great Dane, guess she will have to do.
Oh my god, oh my god, OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!! I am distraught right now!! The next 6 months are going to KILL ME, waiting for November!
<3 the series!
OMG!!! I cried like a baby.
You are one of my favorite writers, but right now not a big fan.
Next book cannot come soon enough.
Yeah. sooo. I haven’t yet read it. But I already know whats going to happen, because its making waves all over amazon. People still have problems with putting the word *spoiler* on reviews.
Although truth be told I kinda understand why everyone is spilling it. Something THIS big cannot be contained. Like I said I haven’t read it yet and I’m thinking I’m going to follow the advice of one reviewer and wait until November to read HB. Even knowing whats going to happen is making me go “OMG SERIOUSLY”. I cannot imagine having to read about it without immediate comfort and followup of the next book!
oh that iso just cheating!!! I should hvw thought of it!:D
Yes I know its cheating but I can’t help it. I still can’t bare to read it!
aaaarrrrrgggghhhh!!!!!!
this is so not fair!!!!
i live in Australia and i have to either wait til mid July for hard bitten to be released here or order it from the US and live in misery for the next three weeks.
Why exactly don’t all countries have the same release date?
p.s im sooooo jealouse of you guys right now i would kill to be able to read the book now :C
Im in Aust. too, i preordered the book at book depository for $12 and arrived on the 5th.
My warning to you is are you sure you want to be on this emotional journey like the rest of us?
Ok….so Chloe I am trying to trust you but I keep going between that and really disliking you. I couldn’t sleep last night and I’m having a lot of trouble working today……Why???? It really needs to be November…couldn’t you move up the release date to like June?????
I spent last night hugging my dog while bawling my eyes out, followed by frantic calls to my friends. It’s funny because Hard Bitten and Dead Reckoning (Charlaine Harris’) book came out on the same day. I decided to read Hard Bitten first because I thought the love story between Merit and Ethan would be “emotionally safer” for me to read. Boy was I wrong. (I still haven’t read Dead Reckoning because I don’t think I could handle it if Sookie and Eric break up now) Great job on the story, I’m still in shock but I have faith in you and thanks for the hugs, they were much needed.
Yeah, when I read it, I did a frantic, slightly darth-vaderesque “noooooooooooooooooooooo..” and woke up my entire family. I can’t belive you did what you did, but I know you know what you’re doing. I totally trust you, but I need a hug.
Ok, cried myself to sleep, but woke up to a new (but rainy) day. I was begining to think the reason the ending hit me so hard was because I just started reading the series on Saturday and averaged a book a day so that I would be able to read HB on the 3rd. After reading the other comments of reader’s reactions I am guessing more time wouldn’t have helped. I am also glad I was not the only one ranting during the night as I finished the book, although, thankfully my cats were the only ones disturbed by it. Although the ending was heartstopping, I do trust you to get us out of this emotional mess but I still think November is too long to wait…
Thank you for writing this series!
PS: I like you again π
Self<— screaming "Jesus take the wheel (of this car)!" While posting mad message on authors blog via my cell while doing 120 on 580 west. Pretty sure it's not legal in California, but oh so necessary. So, while i risk this ridiculous ticket – I will try to calm down and read..and read again and "trust" Ms Neill…and wait until November.
Skw
Well, you cured me of a very bad habit. I will never, ever again read the last page of a book first! November is a long time to wait for (possible) relief from this torment.
On a positive note, Merit is by far my most favorite vampire and I’ve read a lot of vampire novels. Thanks for the jolt, it makes the ride more fun! π
I am heart broken. It has to be him and her. No one else will do. Please dont let me down!!!
Amazing. Excellent, Sad. I started reading it yestaerday at 5 in the afternon and was crying t 1:00AM. OH MY GOD… I was so happy to see the release date for the next book (thankfully not a whole year away). I agree and trust you, but WHY??? You have your reasons and I can hardly wait to read the follow up. I can’t sleep and think today I keep re-reading and just hoping the words will magically change on the page. Talk about fanatasy…
Already posted on facebook, and the hugs are much needed Chloe!
Trust me –
That just reminds me of all the Merit/Ethan trust issues, this whole book was really about trust – earning it, giving it without knowing the full repercussions…::ulgh:: trust is so not the word I want to hear right now. But as a North-west suburb native, I love all your Chicago foodie refrences – although I have never heard of Mallocakes. And I’m thinking I could totally use a Mallocake right now!
Um….. Having just finished HB at work on my break, I think i sat there just saying “WTH just happened???”. I love this series but I cant wait until November!!!! So by you saying, Trust me, that it has something to do with magic!!! Let us bow our heads and pray!!! haha!!
Thank for the very entertaining escape!!! Looking foward to more!!!
P.S: like everyone else….not liking you too much right this moment!!! π
I love your writing Chloe but right now…not so much. So much heartache and sadness it’s almost too hard to bear. I will have to get out the big girl panties and try to get myself together. Really, did yo HAVE to do this to us????
I can’t believe it. I just finished the book and I literally threw it across the living room. I’m glad I saw your post that said trust you, because I don’t know if I could have continued the series otherwise. Although I am very glad that the next book comes out in November instead a year apart like another series that I am reading. I don’t think I could wait that long.
On the positive side, other than the fact that the book left me in tears, the story was great. I love Merit and the world that you have created.
Just finished this this morning at 6:38 a.m. Needless to say, I needed some serious consoling and there was no one there to provide it. But, I would like to say that it was a fabulous book. If you gave me what I wanted, I might have thought the book just okay, but you took something away from me and I’m so upset and and disturbed by this current conflict in the plot lines, that you’ve made me love your author-ism more than before. The only thing I’m asking – and I’m asking as a dutiful, caring reader- please fix it. I have no choice but to trust you, but that ending still brings me to tears. I know you will do right by me because you always have. To console myself I reviewed the book on my blog (highest ratings I could give it!). It made me feel a bit better. Great work Chloe! You rock!
Jen
In the Closet With a Bibliophile
You are an evil, evil woman.
Still, it fit perfectly into the story and I can’t help wondering about that dream. On the other hand, november is a loooong time away right now. And the fact that the blurb of Drink Deep gives absolutely nothing away ISN’T helping.
Guess I know what I’ll be doing november 1.
I’m so torn right now ….I made the mistake of peeking at the back yesterday when I got the book because I knew that I wouldn’t have time to read it for a week or so …You made me cry all the way home from work …which really sucked….but I’ll give you the trust you are asking for and hope that I don’t regret it….and yes I’ll read the whole book and probably be really upset again next week but I’ll survive it…oh and this teaches me to peek at the end which I rarely do and now regret.
If I had the book I would have thrown it, however it was an e-reader and I maintained my control over the tantrum. I was so heart broken I was unable to work the rest of the day. (pathetic) I rushed home to find this blog to either join others in their disbelief or find hope, thank goodness I have found both π hope is the BEST…… BRING ON NOVEMBER!!!!!!!
I just finished Hard Bitten, and I’m still a little shell shocked… but I’m going to take your advice and trust you! Thank you for writing a great, great story by the way. I am waiting on pins and needles for Drink Deep π
Speaking on behalf of many, many husbands: Please give me my wife back by fixing whatever tragedy has befallen her. She is so sad and forlorn. All she can do is mutter the words “devestated” and “Trust me”. You must be one hell of a writer to reduce my previously formidable and powerful wife to a huddled mass of tears, rage, and haunted expressions.
I’m sorry, Drew! My hugs to your wife. (And tell her I said, again, “Trust me.”)
I hadn’t cried that hard from reading a book since the Harry Potter series when… said character… died. I then had to call my mom, to warn her about Hard Bitten, so she wouldn’t panic at the ending when she read it. And then I had to mentally talk it out with my roommate. Insaneness! I don’t think you understand how hard it is to “trust you” right now… but I’m commending you on getting me so involved with these characters. November… sigh. I’m really just waiting for you to post the first chapter of the next book, so I can tell myself “everything will be alright”.
Hats off. Didn’t see it coming at all! I might secretly be wishing there was another way but I commend you for having the guts to go there. It’s going to be a long day at work and a longer wait till November.
Thanks for the wild ride (and the hugs).
The first time I read this blog comment I had not finished reading so of course I didn’t understand it. Then I finished the book and promptly swore that I was not going to read another of your books (after the next one of course because I had to give myself room to err). But after calming myself and attempting to think rationally, I decided to check your blog for some explanation of the traumatizing turn of events. I reread this post, had an “aha” moment, and began to see a small ray of sunshine peeking through the clouds. I am going to trust you and will try to patiently wait until November. Finally, please blame my brief moment of disloyalty on my strong emotional attachment to your characters.
I am not happy right now. Not at all. I mean how will this series go on without him? Oh, right, WE DON’T KNOW! WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NOVEMBER! Not that I know if I will still be interested then! I love this series and the Dark Elite series, but without him, i doubt it will be half as good as before. Good luck on living up to the expectations. My favorite series was just ruined. Thanks.
Chloe, I don’t know how to react. I just can’t believe in a happy ending. I’m crying so much right now, and my chest hurts. I can’t believe that happened. I just can’t. Just….can’t.
I’m broken by this book. And I need a spark of hope, so I can put myself together, because honestly, I can’t see a happy ending, not after this.
Please, the only thing I ask you is, don’t let us down. Plea.se
Ummm…just finished and am completely distraught. Don’t want to make dinner for my family. Pizza night is in order for this kind of trauma. I feel I need some hope…a good spoiler for the next book might help. Seriously! Why? Why? Why?
I’ve been weeping over chocolate and Celine Dion songs on and off since I finished Hard Bitten. I have no idea how I will make it until November!
I’m so heartbroken and depressed…
I guess I’m going to echo everyone else. You say “trust you” but the only way you can fix this is bringing him back. That’s it. He cannot be replaced and Merit will not be the same. I don’t even know if I can can continue reading the series. I read to get an escape from the real world that is harsh. I need a happy ending and with Ethan is the only ending I’m demanding. Yes, Chloe you are an amazing writer but I’m not a fan of your direction.
The ending ruined my day… I must tell you I sympothize with the husband that posted to give his wife back… I’ve talked about this to all who would listen all day. If the objective was to leave me traumatized and depressed than mission accomplished. Please bring Ethan back. Please. Please don’t make us wait three books either. I absolutely can not read Merit with another love interest. I’m trusting you to make everything better in Drink Deep.
I have to say…the ending tore me apart! I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t eat. All I could do was think of ways for you to bring him back.
November is how far away?
I just want you to know that I am so upset right now I may have to take bereavement from work for the next few days…really didn’t see that ending coming
I’m still crying! I blame you Chloe for my puffy red eyes in the morning. Why???? I hope it’s sunny, I’m gonna need the big dark glasses.
Like I said on the forums, trust is all I have left! Seriously Chloe…HOLY crap on a stick!
I didn’t get this book until late Tuesday, so I just finished it last night, but was too traumatized to comment. I did as you suggested and hugged my Schnauzer versions (one Corgi and one Chow/Golden Retriever mix) and they both cocked their heads and gave me the “Mama, what’s wrong?” look – although that was better than the reaction I received from my daughters, ages 24 and 21 (“Oh, sorry…..what’s for supper?”). You lied – I didn’t feel any better.
However, I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and trust you. Why? Because this is exactly how I felt when I read the third in the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. At the very end of the book was a letter to her readers. She promised that although things looked as bleak as could be, Mac would get her “happily ever after”. At the end of the fourth book in the series, I considered making a voodoo doll with her picture on it and sticking pins in it, but I refrained and decided to trust her. With the fifth and final book in the series, she came through on all of her promises. So, I’ve decided to trust you. Please, please, please don’t fail us!!! And just so you know how much these characters mean to me, I read this before the new Sookie Stackhouse book and before the new Women’s Murder Club book.
I grew up in and around Chicago, so I absolutely LOVE this series and the way you pull landmarks that I know and love into the story!
I was so upset about the ending of this last book that I went and blabbed to my mom (who hadn’t read it yet and is now very angry at me)!
Can’t wait until November.
Thank goodness for this blog… Please fix this in Drink Deep. I will trust you, however, it has to be them. I will have faith that you will not let us down or prolong a resolution. Heartbroken. Big hugs though.
Luckily after my emotional breakdown yesterday I stopped a second to think and concluded that you just couldn’t be that cruel and let it end like this. Or maybe I’m just in denial π But I do trust you.Hell, I simply refuse to believe in anything but a HEA.
That being said; don’t ever do something like that again!! My poor heart, jeez…
But I gotta admire your courage to pull that off π
I agree with all of you. He has to come back. There’s just NO WAY Merit can be with someone else. Not after this book, not after all this love Ethan showed for her. And I can’t accept that he is gone. He has to come back in Drink Deep. I don’t know if I can keep reading the series. It will be hard to make it till November.
ok Iβd like to start out by saying …. GOOD GOD FROM THE HEAVENS ABOVE WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED!!!!!! breathe in breathe out … now that i got that off my chest. I was this close (pinching my index finger and thumb together with only a millimeter of space between them) to ripping each page out the book and burning the remains and stomping on the ashes!!! i had to read that section of the book over a good couple of times because i could of sworn my eyes were playing tricks on me but NO that was not the case so after my little fit with said book (thank god itβs still in one piece) I went to your blog for some answers as to WHYYYYY!! all it said is “trust me” soooo thats what i’m going to do trust you to please give us back our green eyed sexyness PLEASEEEEEE!!!! but i do sooo love your books Neill your the best!!!
2 things are alarming to me:
1) how deeply affected I was by the ending. I’ve really become so invested with these characters that I suffered with them. November is so far away…
2)There seem to be a dearth of comments from guys here. I hope I am not violating the secret guy code by admitting how much I love these books.
Honestly devastated! Thank goodness for this blog. After reading the ending I was almost DONE with this series. However, I find that most feel the same way, so I trust that you will resolve this matter in Drink Deep. It has to them. Can’t wait to see how you’re gonna pull this off, I put my trust in you until November
holy shit, really did you have to do that to me (and everyone else), i mean really??????? anywoooo loved the book and nov cant come fast enuf!!!
I finished reading about 30 seconds ago, so I still have a big lump in my throat, but I’m going to do as you asked and trust. (You’re the author; you have to be as gooey over Ethan as the rest of us, right?)
So well written. I mean, the words have to be powerful if they can put this hangdog expression on my face — as well as a bunch of others.
Not sure I’ve ever anticipated November more eagerly!
OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I had a just hold me sesion from my bewildered husband who I kept up for hours ranting and raving… I went thru the I hate you then denial and now I am just numb, I will take that hug pretty please π I choose to trust you, please, please, please don’t let us down!
Never again. Promise me. Never again, please Never again.
I’m sorry. You need to take into account that you’re such a good writer that you wield just this much power over us. I tip my hat to you. Standing ovation. All that. But remember the wise words:
Uncle Ben: With Great Power, comes Great Responsibility.
Thanks,
Blake
After a night of reflection (and cooldown) I think I can recover from this. I really look forward to November though. I think we can all collectively thank Chloe for her hard work and simply having the balls to go there; lesser authors may fear us and start catering their books to our will, but that’s not storytelling, it’s a lie. Thanks for staying honest with us, and this miraculous story.
P.S. Green eyes that are Ethan’s but aren’t?
Thanks,
Blake
OMG!!!! I haven’t cried that hard in a long time. I just finished it yesterday and I am still upset. I don’t know if i can wait until November. I might have to re-read the series before then. Thank you for writing a wonderful series.
Ok, so we are supposed to trust you? I mean WHY?? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHY?? Just as he was winning back our hearts, AHHH! Many shots of tequilla and an awesome if not short rant to my bestie telling her everything that is wrong with the torture of waiting six months for books. I am not a patient person and Charlaine Harris is sending me to a bad place already but because I can anticipate where she is going, don’t like the direction but I know the path. With you and Merit, we are lost on a Lake (Michigan) of turmoil. Left adrift to slowly allow our hearts to mourn and whither away I may have to start medication after reading this book!
First off killing Ethan not cool. My bf is a blonde with green eyes so that didn’t help. Just so you know my best friend Amanda got me hooked on these book my freshman yr of high school (I will be a junior in the fall) and I fell in love with the character. Ive read the first three books about a thousand times a piece.
November is going to be a busy month. Amanda and I can’t wait for the next book. I pre-ordered this one just so i’d have it the day it came out. Gotta love Amazon.
Debating whether I love Chloe now but still love the characters. Gonna miss Ethan.
Still crying….. ugh……. i miss Darth Sullivan & he was doing so nicely too……is it November yet….. I’ll trust more after I read the next book……
Kudos to the guys reading these books!! big hugs for yall!! lets keep our fingers crossed for Drink Deep!! can’t wait till November!! π
Thanks.
I have an idea … magical superglue. Eh? EH? π
Mais la, Chloe!! Why?! Just can’t believe he’s gone…..sniffle…..bring him back!!! I’ll be spending the next 6 months convincing myself to “trust” you and remain positive (and taking merit’s dream at the end to be fore-shadowing of some sort). I still love you, mon ami, but I don’t really like you right now either. Feel free to use juicy Drink Deep spoilers as a bribe though….
Badum, Badum….
Can’t stand this anymore!!!
I didn’t like Ethan after Twice Bitten and stuff, with the way he treated Merit and all. STILL, what you did to him was completely unjustifiable… Couldn’t he show his love in some other way…? Really need Ben and Jerry’s right now.
Can’t wait for November and his miraculous revival. Maybe some vampire revival theory. Merit’s teardrop bringing him back to life? I don’t know!!! Just give him back… Putting all my trust in you right now.
Totally agree. I was never completely in love with Ethan based on the way her treated Merit. He was just another hot, suave vampire. But never, NEVER, did I imagine that you would off him.
Instead of studying for my exams, I spent all of last night finishing the story. I got so impatient towards the end that I skipped a few pages and my eyes landed right at the lines when he jumps into the room and then takes a stake for Merit. And then I kept thinking, “oh he’s a master, he’ll live through it.” BUT NO! Ashes, right then and there. I just shut the book and put it away. I’m not going to finish that until November gets near so I can pretend I just haven’t gotten to the part where he regenerates or something.
The irony is, I always rant about how authors never have the nerve to kill the main people. π
Wow !!!
So did not see that coming!!! I was so mad when I read what happened in the end, I shouted at the book “You can’t do that!” I don’t think i’ve shouted at a book since i was 9 years old. The ending didn’t magically re-write it’s self the way i wanted this time either!! So I Will do as you ask and trust you.I really hope that there’s a good reason for the story to go this way, but please, please tell me that things do eventually go well for Merit????
I’m a guy as well, and I definitely love reading these books. While I was definitely sad about the ending of this last book, I think its fantastic that CN did what she did. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your characters is the hardest thing to do to your characters. Kudos to Chloe for having the courage. As hard as that was to read imagine what it was for her to type those words. Very much looking forward to Drink Deep. Not to put cart before the horse, but how long after DD will we have to wait for #6?
WHAT THE F….. HOW THE H…. HOLY S…. OH MY G…. I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. I’m sooooo shocked I can’t even write anything else except for…. this next book better have some answers which include bringing him back!!!!!!!!
Ok Chloe….with tears in my eyes and heart broken I will trust you. I wish tomorrow was November.
Too late for “trust me”, when you were exactly hoping for this reaction! Although, right now, I’m having a “Blood Promise”-like theory…
So… when are ARCs coming out??? ^__^
I’m sick to my stomach over these latest developments! I’m going to really try and stay positive that you are going to make it right! Other than the shocking end, I loved the book and look forward to November!
I also want to say that I love it when I see guys reading these books too! If only more would give them a try!
CN – I would just like to tell you that I am a very avid reader. Hard Bitten and Dead Reckoning (by Charlaine Harris) came out on the same day! I can honestly tell you that I had no doubt in my mind that I wanted to read Merit/Ethan first. And then WHAM!!! I have nothing left but to trust you. At the end of the book, I called my closest reading buddy and told her that I didn’t even want to consider the next book at this point. I was/am devastated. Yes I can understand the offing a major character to build the main, but I am a happily ever after gal. Of course I will read all future books, just don’t know how long it will take me to get into it. I suppose I am going to have to “TRUST YOU” … lol
OMG!!!!!!!! I just finished the book last night and was so distraught I couldn’t sleep at all so here I am this morning at work unable to focus, searching blogs to try and find some hint that all will be fixed in the next book. Then having to again remind myself that I have to wait until NOVEMBER!!!! How Cruel Can You Be????? Please please please fix this and not make us wait forever for it to be fixed. I already have to wait until November, which believe me is killing me, and don’t think I can wait any longer.
I do love the series and your writing so I am a big fan just don’t really like you very much right now.
Ugh…I feel a sad and mopey today like I just went through some horrible break up, don’t want to work, just want to cry and veg on the couch with a carton of ice cream. I need to read a book that will make me feel better and try to forget about this one as best I can until November.
Thanks for drawing me in!
It’s been a few days now…even though I hate that he’s gone, I’ve gotta say, I’ve now read the book 3 times and I love the side of him we got to see in this book. I wasn’t a big Ethan fan after the first book…but i absolutely loved him in this book.
@ Tara. I read Dead Reckoning first and was pissed because that had a f9^*%! up ending too, then my beloved gets ashed in Hard Bitten and well you can say that was not a good day.
